Party on Saturday and I really want a big one! Need to boost my sales for the month and I want to get as many parties booked as possible. October is looking a little slow and I need it to pick up and keep me busy until Christmas! I have high dreams and I want my business to soar! Make it a great rest of the week everyone!

well I learn this week that you can't always please everyone, some customers may not be happy with your product. It is easier to just go with the flow and make them happy. I have also learn that leadership class is a lot of work! It will be worth it though when I move up the ladder in the business. Slow week this week so I will be busting my butt trying to fill my October calender. Anyone want to host a party?

Hello my friends sorry it has been a while since the last blog, leadership class is keeping me busy, I have 4 parties this week and all the orders to enter in the computer. This job is sometimes like a game of chance, you can invite 20 and only 2 show or you can invite 10 and 12 show. It is unpredictable, the weather may be the reason, the hostess may be the reason or it could even be the consultant, who knows. I still love the job and I have already picked out the BMW that I want! Still hope to make group leader by the end of September, dreams can come true and I sure hope that mine does.

I don't have any partys this week so it is kind of an off week for me, going to use this time to polish my speech and make my presentation flawless. Working on some different ideas so we will see how it all flows together.

The challenges we face in life only help to make us stronger, I am going to challenge myself more this month so that I can build my business to a level that I want it. I will have to bust my butt to get more parties booked and work hard in the leadership focus group but the end result should outweigh all the struggles and hard work.

The beginning of a new week and a new month, I really want to exceed this month and it is lookin like I might. Several parties already booked and I can't wait to see how it goes with the new products. I start Leadership this week, so the pressure is on!

Patience, how do we learn to have it. Being in sales requires a lot of patience, something of which I need to learn to have. I want everything to fall into place quickly and with sales it is a give and take situation. I so want to succeed in this and waiting for things to happen is driving me crazy!

Sales life is very unpredictable, everyday you learn a new lesson on how to make a sale. Whether you need to change you display, add some lighting, change you sales pitch. Lots of lessons to learn, you also have to love what you do and what you sale or it doesn't come across as sincere. This job requires energy, enthusiasm, and hard work. New catalog came out this week and now I need to rewrite my sales pitch to go with the new book and the new merchandise. Start my focus group on the 3rd, hope to learn some new information to help me succeed!

Today I got good news, I have been selected to participate in the Emerging Leaders focus group. It will teach me how to be a leader in my company...kind of exciting! First challenge was to schedule 3 parties, done, now I need the next challenge. I really enjoy this job, I guess I am burned out on the other job that I have had for 22 years and I enjoy the new and exciting challenges. My last party has turned out better than I thought it would and I am excited about that. Have started an online party so we will see how that goes, several seem interested in doing that. Technology is overriding the old fashion type party.

Being a sales woman can have its ups and down and I have the tendency to hang onto the down side. I was beating myself up today because I didn't have anything on my schedule until next month and I really wanted to get my sales quota up. So I spent yesterday and today networking, trying to get that one last party for the month - the party walked up and rang my doorbell. Go figure, I am searching everywhere and it was right across the street. My neighbor who came to my open house party and booked a party for November came over and told me that so many people liked her jewelry that she wanted to get hostess credits for selling jewelry this week...I signed her up! I am trying to convince myself that you have to stay positive in this crazy life of direct sales. Any sales is something to be happy about! Have a great day!

Being a sales woman can be an interesting job, you meet a lot of different kinds of people and some will share just about anything with you about their life. Being in sales also has its ups and down, you can have the perfect hostess, she follows the hostess handbook word for word and then when it gets party time the guests dont follow the handbook. I had a great hostess for my party on Saturday, she did everything and more, the guests came late or didn't even show and discouraged my hostess. She kept trying to apologize and I kept trying to reinforce that she didn't do anything wrong, we had a great party, we made some sales and all is good. So maybe the next time you agree to attend that direct sales party, put yourself in the hostess shoes and think about how much she is counting on you attending.

TRAVELIN SHOW PARTY!!

Last few days have been really busy, networking for new parties, getting the show packed and ready for the road. Had my first out of town show on Saturday, had a great hostess who did everything she was suppose to, crowd wasn't as big as we wanted but we made it a great show anyway. Have to spend the day delivering today, so it will be nice to connect with my new customers.

Received lots of inventory today and I have been trying to sort it and out and figure what pieces i will use for my next show. Taking the business on the road Saturday, going to be facing new faces that i haven't seen before. Will I be nervous? I don't think so! I really enjoy this job! I will work on my display tomorrow night, I have so many new pieces to display I need to figure out what I will be taking to the show on Saturday. Really hope this is a big show and that I get more bookings, I want to get my business going strong.

another rainy day, I got my second party order placed and it will arrive tomorrow. I can't believe how fast stuff is getting here. Third party on Saturday and I am pumped, I want a record breaking show. Got lots of great ideas for the show at New Hope and Watonga, my spouse is showing some excitement too. I really want to prove mostly to myself that I can make a business work and that I can make it grow in Oklahoma. If I could only get a few recruits, we could cover the whole state!

Tune in for my first National All Call, wasn't quite what I expected, lots of announcements about achievements and not much information about the changes getting ready to happen when the fall book comes out. I am second in sales on my team and I am proud of that. My first order has been shipped, I am excited to see all the new stuff. I placed my second order by myself and screwed it up so I have to call the company today to get it fixed. Mistakes are the just another way to learn the biz so hopefully I can get it fixed so my hostess gets the credits she deserves for the party. Party on Saturday is getting bigger and I can't wait, new crowd of people that I don't know so I will get to test my nerves.

Closing the second party today, and have a third booked for the weekend. Did a lot of networking this past weekend and things look promising in the future. I have learned that everyone I speak to could be a possible lead and that I need to keep that in mind. You only have one chance to make a first impression and I need to make sure my first are worthwhile.

Well I now have party number 2 finished and it was a little disappointing after the high I got from the first party. My mentor said I did fine, and that I just need to keep getting my name out there and it will kick off and I will be really busy. I took a big step yesterday and bravely went and got my ears pierced, I am 44 and had never done that. Now I want them to get healed so I can change to some of the new pretty pieces that I sell and I want to wear those! I booked a few parties yesterday, still need more for this month and it is discouraging. I so want this business to kick off and run. I know I just need to be patience and keep throwing my name out there and something will come along. I am learning more and more about this business each day.

Second party is today, lots of woman have been invited...looking forward to seeing if I get the same reaction from this group as I did the last group. Closed my first party last night and didn't realize there was so much paper work in a home business. Have lots of ideas jumping through my head of ways to really push this product that is new to Oklahoma. I am the only consultant here and it is exciting building the Oklahoma business. I have discovered that working independent requires you to maintain a positive attitude and I am working on that and feeling more confident each day. We only live life once and we need to make the best of it and achieve our dreams. So many great friends and strangers out there have wished me the best at achieving my dream...maybe dreams really do come true.

What a great feeling to have a successful party and get so many kudos from the guests. Party was a success, I wasn't nervous and I sold a lot. Food was wonderful and the things just fell right into place. I know it won't always be this great but I had fun and it has been a long time since I had fun at a job. Now I have lots of paperwork to complete to finish the show and get the order placed. I have a second party booked for tomorrow so I need to get this one completed so I can get busy with the next one. Make it a great day everyone!

Starting out a great day, I have already accomplished a lot for the first hour of my day. My first party is tomorrow night and I am ready to give it my best shot. Guest list is looking great, several have RSVP that they will be attending. My upline talked me through some questions and concerns last night and reassured me that I can't screw this up, the object of this party is to have fun and sell some jewels. I have already made some pre-sales and those were not hard to do so this party thing should be a breeze! Second party scheduled for Saturday, and I am excited to see and meet new people - more you meet the more contacts you have.

Each day I am learning new things to better myself as a saleswoman, first thing is attitude! Must always convey a positive attitude, sale more that way! Second, keep records of every person that you talk, these contacts can make deals! Third, know your product and love everything about it or at least act like you do and fourth, work it and sell it baby!

so as I go down this road as a sales woman, i am changing my attitude and of course everyone I work with or that knows me thinks something is wrong with me or I must have hit my head....I have been very negative about my other job in the last few months and now I am trying to be positive and sell my jewelry. Spent the day trying to assemble everything I need to have a party, worked on invitations, had my friend and spouse working on displays and I tried to learn the names of the jewelry. Displays look awesome, invites are ready to mail, and I got to figure out what I am suppose to say at this party. Living the american dream and wondering am I really cut out for sales!

Challenge: Start a Home Based Business with less that $500.00 and florish in this economic crisis. If i can do it anyone can!! I really mean it. I am an average american living on average income. I have done a small amount of research to get the right start for me. I used GMA website to find a legitimate home based business. Made contact by email on the website. A representative from the newly established jewelry company called and a relationship began.

So on July 31st of 2009 the journey began. Signed the contract to begin this challenge.
