I don't have any partys this week so it is kind of an off week for me, going to use this time to polish my speech and make my presentation flawless. Working on some different ideas so we will see how it all flows together.

The challenges we face in life only help to make us stronger, I am going to challenge myself more this month so that I can build my business to a level that I want it. I will have to bust my butt to get more parties booked and work hard in the leadership focus group but the end result should outweigh all the struggles and hard work.

The beginning of a new week and a new month, I really want to exceed this month and it is lookin like I might. Several parties already booked and I can't wait to see how it goes with the new products. I start Leadership this week, so the pressure is on!

Patience, how do we learn to have it. Being in sales requires a lot of patience, something of which I need to learn to have. I want everything to fall into place quickly and with sales it is a give and take situation. I so want to succeed in this and waiting for things to happen is driving me crazy!

Sales life is very unpredictable, everyday you learn a new lesson on how to make a sale. Whether you need to change you display, add some lighting, change you sales pitch. Lots of lessons to learn, you also have to love what you do and what you sale or it doesn't come across as sincere. This job requires energy, enthusiasm, and hard work. New catalog came out this week and now I need to rewrite my sales pitch to go with the new book and the new merchandise. Start my focus group on the 3rd, hope to learn some new information to help me succeed!

Today I got good news, I have been selected to participate in the Emerging Leaders focus group. It will teach me how to be a leader in my company...kind of exciting! First challenge was to schedule 3 parties, done, now I need the next challenge. I really enjoy this job, I guess I am burned out on the other job that I have had for 22 years and I enjoy the new and exciting challenges. My last party has turned out better than I thought it would and I am excited about that. Have started an online party so we will see how that goes, several seem interested in doing that. Technology is overriding the old fashion type party.

Being a sales woman can have its ups and down and I have the tendency to hang onto the down side. I was beating myself up today because I didn't have anything on my schedule until next month and I really wanted to get my sales quota up. So I spent yesterday and today networking, trying to get that one last party for the month - the party walked up and rang my doorbell. Go figure, I am searching everywhere and it was right across the street. My neighbor who came to my open house party and booked a party for November came over and told me that so many people liked her jewelry that she wanted to get hostess credits for selling jewelry this week...I signed her up! I am trying to convince myself that you have to stay positive in this crazy life of direct sales. Any sales is something to be happy about! Have a great day!
